About Us

Our family has got Tuscan origins for generations.
My farther Franco was born in the province of Siena while my mather Patrizia was born right there in Catignano in this house which belonged to his grandparents Livia and Gianni.
When the heirs sold the house, my parents decided to buy it because Patrizia was very fond of it, so in 1999 meticulous restoration works started.
Franco directed works in which he also actively participated, while Patrizia put all her creativity into the decorations and furnishings.
In 2005, once that my father a bank official and my mother a teacher retired, we officially opened the “Borgo dei Cadolingi” and in the years we have met many beautiful people from all over the world, some of them became our friends and often come back to visit us.
Together with my parents we manage the family structure; Franco and Patrizia speak French and take care of the apartments, the cleaning and they personally welcome our guests and pamper them for the duration of their stay; Me, Nicoletta, English speaking, manage the reservations and I am always available in case that my support is needed.
Ours is not simply a job, but a real passion. Meeting people with completely different languages, cultures and histories is a real enrichment and it is always a pleasure to welcome our guests and share few moments of their holiday with them.
Our greatest satisfaction is your smile when you greet us and to know that a small corner of Tuscany like Catignano is in the hearts and memories of many people around the world.
